At American State Bank, the basis of each customer relationship is TRUST. We believe that your privacy should not be compromised.

In order to make informed decisions about extending services to our customers, we may collect “nonpublic personal information” about you from the following sources: 1) Information we receive from you on applications or other loan and account forms. 2) Information about your transactions with our affiliates, others, or us. 3) Information we receive from third parties such as credit bureaus.

We are permitted under law to share information about our experience or transactions with you on your account and information we receive from you in applications, with companies related to us by common control or ownership (“affiliates”).

We do not disclose any non-public personal information about you, or former customers, to any other third parties, except as permitted by the regulation and law as amended from time to time.

We will provide information (a) when you authorize us to (b) to comply with a law, regulation, court order or subpoena (c) to verify the existence of your account, and general information about the condition of your account to a third party (such as a credit bureau) (d) when it is necessary to complete a transaction.

We restrict access to your personal account information, to those employees who need to know that information to provide products and services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information. Employees are trained to never discuss or disclose customer information inside or outside of the Bank.

We strongly believe that it is in our best interests as well as yours to maintain information that is as accurate as possible. We have established procedures to enable customer information that will be collected and maintained to be as accurate and complete as possible. Our website is directed to a general audience. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children on our site.

American State Bank’s Privacy Principles apply to individuals. With respect to commercial credit information, we follow a “Code of Ethics for the exchange of credit information”, set out by Robert Morris Associates. We do not disclose information to parties outside American State Bank, including affiliates, concerning the existence or administration of a trust, except to comply with a law, regulation or judicial proceedings or as deemed necessary in the administration of the trust.
